Python Enclosed Belt Conveyor

The Python Conveyor is a completely closed tubular belt conveyor system which provides a clean and environmentally safe means of transportation without spillage or scattering of material.

The Python Conveyor is unique in its capacity to move over any complicated route.  There is no restriction either in the number of degrees in a single curve or in the number of short radius turns in any direction  (horizontal, vertical or combined).

The specially designed distributed drive system allows unlimited conveyor length without the need of  reloading stations.  The Python has a high conveying speed.  Variable speed can be up to 2,500 fpm (25-30 mph). Automated high speed loading is keyed to the conveyor speed.


A  Conventional Belt Conveyor Systems

A conventional belt conveyor typically consists of a flat belt, stretched between pulleys, with rollers supporting the belt along the length of travel. Usually a unit drive powers the belt.  Flat belt conveyors are limited in length and in angles of inclination.They cannot turn corners. Material spillage is a problem.  Dust from powdery materials presents a hazard to people, the environment and the equipment.

Environment requirements restrict and sometimes make open conveyor systems economically prohibitive. 


Tubular belt design which is self-closing and self-opening at loading and unloading stations.

No comparable belts are available. 


Ability to route the conveyor at steep angles, even vertically, as well as making unlimited horizontal turns, so that material can be transported over steep up and down slopes and around various obstacles.

Maximum vertical inclination is 18-26 degrees. Horizontal turns are not allowed for a flat conveyor belt, and are restricted by 45 degrees for pipe belt conveyors.


Essentially unlimited conveyor line length, without need of reloading stations, due to its specially designed distributed drive system.

Conveyor line is usually broken down into "arms" of 0.2 - 0.7 miles in length.


Relatively small size and light weight of belt construction, resulting in light weight economical supporting structures.

Large belt size for high conveyor productivity leads to heavy and very costly supporting structure.
